We aim to enhance the individual development, professional capabilities, and skills of employees for today and the future by providing learning and development solutions.

 

Future Fit Development is reflecting our purpose, values, leadership DNA, and culture code. Inspired by the "Future Fit" approach, our goal is to ensure developing employees are ready for the future by acquiring new competencies and skills. Future Fit Development Framework consists of three main pillars; core, capability and leadership supported by future fit development methods.

In 2023, a total of 1,304,926 hours of training were received, and average hours and average amount spent on training and development per employee were 32.2 hours and TRY 3,388, respectively. A total of 6.1% of these training sessions were conducted through online learning platforms.

 

 

Future Fit Core

Future Fit Core pillar includes development solutions aligning with Arçelik's strategy and essence and supporting common areas of focus for all Arçelik employees. As part of Future Fit Core, employees will be provided with online and in-person development opportunities. Orientation programs (Warmup), Purpose-Driven Programs encompassing values of the company and mandatory training, and Leadership DNA Essentials targeting the development of distinctive behaviors for Arçelik employees are positioned within this group.

Future Fit Capability

Future Fit Capability includes programs and training to prepare organizations and their employees for current and future roles, with a focus on reskilling and upskilling. As part of Future Fit Capability, functional academies, functional and technical development training and language development solutions are offered to reskill and upskill our employees. As a critical component of capability development, we conduct internal training programs with our in-house volunteer trainers and Master Class programs that aim to foster peer-to-peer learning.

Future Fit Leadership

As a prominent brand in the sector, Arçelik is dedicated to fostering leadership development through specially designed programs. Within the Future Fit Leadership category, initiatives have been crafted to fortify the leadership pipeline, a key priority for Arçelik, while also concentrating on the development of leaders who serve as exemplars in propagating and internalizing the Arçelik culture. These programs are structured to be accessible for leaders at every level within the company.

Empowering marketing capabilities through dynamic programs within Arçelik One Marketing Community. Enabling One Marketing team to upskill and reskill while driving top-line and ensuring future readiness. The aim of this initiative is to develop marketing skills for the future through various training programs such as Brand Growth, Digi.Tale, Media Gang, Shopper Immersion, and Agile Program Management, which focus on key topics such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, agility, in-store strategies, and customer focus. This contributes to talent development by boosting motivation and fostering interaction between global teams through long-term, comprehensive programs that feature international certifications for product and brand teams.

Quantitative impact of business benefits

 

A total of 5,481 hours of training sessions were conducted through 13 different programs, 814 of attendees out of 838 eligible employees participated with a satisfaction rate of 88%. The knowledge uplift is measured with pre-post tests and the change is 38.6 in foundation programs and 40.2 in role specific programs over 100 points.

 

 

 

Future Fit Leadership

Future Fit Leadership 1.0

Description

The Future Fit Leadership 1.0 program is a year-long initiative designed to enhance the skills of employees who have exhibited readiness for future leadership roles and are potential candidates for essential positions within the company's future. This program provides participants with the opportunity to engage in both one-on-one and group coaching to equip themselves for higher positions, identify their areas of improvement and strengths through a 360-degree evaluation administered both at the start and end of the program, and develop their own projects by participating in live workshops and innovation driven project design sessions at the end of the program.

The program aims to cultivate the leadership skills of employees who have exhibited readiness for future leadership roles and are potential candidates for essential positions within the company's future. Aligned with the company's goals and strategies, the initiative strives to support their development in harmony with the Arçelik Leadership DNA, ensuring a strong foundation for the future of our organization as successors of strategic leadership roles. Therefore, the benefit of the program is: (1) To ensure sustainability of our leadership culture, identifies future leaders in the early stages of their career,
(2) To increase the visibility of talents in top management,
(3) To build a ready successor pool for business sustainability on the long run,
(4) To trigger continuous learning culture by increasing self-awareness of future leaders and motivating them for personal growth.

Quantitative impact of business benefits

In 2023, 100 individuals from 19 different countries participated in the program. The satisfaction rate of the program has been 97%.  Since 2017, we have engaged 410 non-managerial participants to this program. A total of 210 of these participants are now holding managerial positions, which is 51% total promotion rate. Among the 410 participants, 130 participants are women, with 61 of them progressing to managerial roles. This represents a 47% overall promotion rate for women participants.
